"Grassroot Solidarity" poem by Jepetto

we don't have common ground with vakbond FNV

we are sharing uncommon ground

for differences to emerge, not to blend or clash,
but to exist, acknowledge, reflect on differences
so they won't become incomprehension
stay in touch with reality, from all angles, even the last one

under the bridge is also uncommon to squatters,
with its arid neutrality of a renovated space with no use
it is obviously uncommon ground
an alienated exhibition space behind the glass
and since Afrika's eviction is the last liberated place left on the Port of A

it is liberated by people of all colors and origins
converging or diverging.

migrants are not uniform

migrants sinking in ships, cleaning your airport, building bridges, living under

hoping it will be populated
by people representing noone else than themselves
linking to each other with their own actions
offering to the city a bottom-up view from under the bridges

sorry maar in engels, an A from the poort of A
